Is the death of internet freedoms inevitable?

CISPA has reared it's head again, it's a piece of American legislation that was already struck down once and is now rearing it's head again, barely reworded, and would place Internet Service Providers in a position where they are 'encouraged' to share your private data with the government.

Australia basically already has this in place, with data being held for several years by ISPs and the government can access it for any reason that they deem to be of interest to national security.

Still if you're in the US, you may want to know more about this CISPA - article here.
